Lancer works only through relationships with school boards. The partnerships we forge with potential high-level donors or sponsors are to fill gaps identified by school boards. Any funds raised on our platform for projects posted by teachers for their students will be sent to school boards to disperse.

Across Canada, school boards are the backbone of our education system. They navigate diverse challenges, ranging from funding constraints and remote‑community logistics to evolving curriculum standards and the need for inclusive, culturally responsive teaching.

Despite these hurdles, they consistently champion student well‑being, foster innovative learning environments, and partner with families and Indigenous communities to ensure every child thrives.

The Lancer Teacher Platform: Teachers use our platform to crowdfund special projects or needs outside of the basic resources that are the responsibility of individual provinces. Our easy-to-use interface allows teachers to create a compelling post in minutes.

In addition to any public funding, Lancer partners with donors and major sponsors to support specific projects based on specific alignment guidelines. Unlike with traditional crowdfunding platforms, this additional funding increases the likelihood of project fulfillment.
The School Board Relationship Builder Programme: The fundraising atmosphere for school boards is not a level playing field by facilitating. The creators of Lancer originated at Virtual Philanthropy, with over 15 years of philanthropic relationship building experience. We bring local, national, and international partnerships, without disrupting existing relationships.

School board partners only need to fill out a simple needs assessment profile and Lancer does the rest, facilitating potential relationships based on opportunity and alignment.
Mental‑Health Access Support: Lancer delivers evidence‑based solutions and coping tools to communities that lack adequate mental‑health services. By submitting formal requests and completing needs assessments, schools become eligible for pooled‑funding resources, gain priority placement in pilot projects, and can be connect to a national mental‑health network for customized assistance.

Lancer recognizes this vital leadership in its partnership model. There is no cost for school boards to partner with us. Our profits come from separate sponsorship and a small percentage of all donations made.

Although members of school boards are free to discuss their Lancer engagement strategies with each other, we maintain the strictest privacy policy and do not share any information about any of our school board partners. By supporting school boards that are at the forefront of nurturing Canada’s youth, we aim to amplify their impact while clearing many of the obstacles that impede their efforts.
